Hengtong, Chongqing Public Transport And SFH Jointly Developing New Energy Bus

May 12, 2009, Chongqing Public Transport Group, Chongqing Hengtong Bus and SAIC Fiat Hongyan (SFH) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly develop the new energy-saving bus products in Chongqing. It is learned that, CNG bus, hybrid bus and other new products will be the focus of their joint development.
May 12 at the signing ceremony, Shenhui, president of China, FPT introduced, last year during the Beijing Olympic Games, SFH provided to the Beijing and Taiwan more than 4300 green engine with European ⅴ emission standard, in the future, these advanced engine technology will be introduced to Chongqing, for China to develop "Chongqing-made" energy efficient engine. The heads of Chongqing Public Transport Group and Hengtong Bus said three companies will jointly develop the new energy bus, including CNG bus and hybrid bus etc.
