On September 29, over 18,000 athletes and runners from 20-plus countries and regions gathered Marathon Square at Hengshuihu, Hebei province to attend 2018 Hengshuihu International Marathon.
Having been held for seven consecutive years, Hengshuihu International Marathon has become increasingly recognized among the public.
To provide greener and more comfortable transportation services for all athletes and runners, 190 units Golden Dragon electric city buses were put into service.
In an effort to improve air quality in the city, Hengshui introduced 300 units electric city buses in 2016, including 205 units manufactured Golden Dragon. In early 2018, Hengshui successfully became the first batch of Public Transport Pilot Cities in Hebei Province.
All the 190 units electric buses which were designated for this year’s marathon were XML6855 and XML6105, which are tailor-made for medium-sized cities. To ensure their smooth operation on the day of the marathon event, a team of nine after-sales engineers started trouble-shooting from September 25.(www.chinabuses.org)
