As its bus routes pass by the Wuyi Mountain, the well-known scenic spot which has been recognized as the World’s Natural Heritage and the World’s Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, the bus operator in Wuyishan insists that all its vehicles must be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

In January, 2015, the first electric bus route officially opened in Wuyishan. Xie Zhonggu, the general manager of the bus operator reveals that the company chose Golden Dragon for two reasons. “First, we are really impressed by its (Golden Dragon) service. Before we made our decision, the bus maker sent a professional team to our city, doing researches and investigations for a whole month. In the end, they provided us with a package of solutions for vehicle models, routes and facilities. Second, our buses are not only serving local citizens, they also provide services for tourists from all over the world. Naturally, we want the best quality buses which can deliver powerful and reliable performances,” said Mr. Xie. During the trial operation, Golden Dragon bus successfully reached the summit of Wuyi Mountain, which has boosted the bus maker’s confidence in the vehicles made by the bus maker.
So far, the first batch of Golden Dragon electric buses have been in smooth operation for more than one year. Apart from being environmentally friendly, they have helped the bus operator cut fuel costs by nearly two thirds.
Currently, Wuyishan Public Transport has three recharging stations and 16 recharging posts. Golden Dragon electric buses are put on the fast recharging mode in the daytime for less than twenty minutes and are put on the slow recharging mode during the nighttime.
