As a coastal city, Haikou, the provincial capital of Hainan sets very stringent standards for vehicles, especially in terms of their anti-corrosion capacity. In 2010, CSR Times Electric put its vehicles in Haikou for trial operation. In 2012, the company successfully won the bid for new energy buses in the city. After the test of time, the bus fleet made by CSR Times Electric has won good recognition of local bus operators. The new bus fleet to be sent to the city is four to five times stronger than a normally painted bus in terms of their anti-corrosion capacity thanks to the whole vehicle electrophoresis manufacturing technology.
