On Nov. 9 last year, Dongfeng Automobile Group and top officials in Xiangyang city reached an agreement. After this, the auto-maker set up its New Energy Bus Dept. And put the development of new energy industry top on the agenda in the city's economic development.
According to the bus-maker, their vehicle is capacitor-battery plug-in gas-electric hybrid city bus, also known as double electric hybrid bus. It is the company's second generation of hybrid city bus developed by Dongfeng Xiangyang Touring Car Co., Ltd. Compared with its first generation of hybrid vehicles, the new eco-friendly buses have made significant progress in whole vehicle control system, energy distribution system, motor power system, automatic continuously variable transmission, battery and management system. In addition, it boasts high energy efficiency, high braking energy recycling efficiency, automatic engine start-up and stop, as well as three different types of power supply modes.
