In response to the huge market potential of new energy buses, Huanghai Bus has been actively involved in meeting the rising market demand for eco-friendly vehicles. Since 2010, Huanghai Bus has successively developed a number of green products, including manual parallel hybrid electric buses, automatic series parallel hybrid electric buses, and super capacitor hybrid electric buses, which have already been in smooth operation in some domestic cities, including Kunming and Nanchang.
In 2011, in cooperation with China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC), Wanfeng Group, Huanghai Bus started applying the well developed third generation deep series system in its new energy city bus and rolled out plug-in series parallel hybrid electric bus. Boasting lightweight framework, strong power, and simplified but practical structure, the bus has highly integrated functions and can improve fuel efficiency significantly. To date, the bus has been well received in Dalian, Tangshan and Shaoxing, creating even higher added values for customers. Such impressive achievements further strengthened the company's determination to adhere to independent R&D and development of hybrid buses.
In 2013, together with Greencontrol and Santroll, two well-known manufacturers of hybrid power control system in China, Huanghai Bus developed a new generation of oil-electric and gas-electric hybrid city buses. This year, the bus manufacturer launched a series of new energy city buses such as plug-in ISG parallel hybrid power buses, dual power hybrid power buses, further expanding its hybrid product line.
