The two buses were designed by the FAW technology center, and was manufactured by FAW bus company, it is a combination of reliable engine, gearbox and axle from FAW, which ensures the safety, reliability and comfortability. The two buses adopt closed-loop cage design, high strength metal front and rear beams; the match of power system and less leaf spring in the front and rear parts ensures safety; the body is designed to improve sound-proofing ability of the bus.
In recent years, to meet the requirement of the ever growing school bus market at home, FAW launched a number of new school buses ranging between 6 meters and 10 meters. The two buses launched at the auto show is 7.4 meters long and 10 meters long respectively. The 7.4-meter-long bus focuses on less developed markets, and the 10-meter-long bus aims at the urban markets.
FAW school bus is equipped with five patented technologies, namely chassis and body screw joint technology, modularized body sticking technology, child seat designing technology, barrier free center control designing technology as well as driver-bus interaction system. The two buses are also equipped with the intelligent information management system, which integrates high performance radio-cassette player, GPS-mounted automobile data recorder, reverse displaying and multichannel monitoring system, enabling the real time communication between school, parents and pupils.
The two buses are shaped like American style school bus, with a front appearance of classic FAW style. Also, black-colored beams are placed at both ends; large round tail lights, multiple reflect light belt on both sides and automatic stop light arms help the buses attracts even more attentions.
