English.chinabuses.com: According to Beijing Public Transport Holdings., Ltd reveals that 5,000 new-energy vehicles will appear on Beijing’s streets within 3 years. Among them, 1,000 units will be put into demonstrative operation in the public transportation and sanitation sectors by the end of this year. The 5,000 new-energy vehicles will include pure electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles.
Currently, Beijing Public Transportation Holdings (BPT) has entered into an agreement with Foton Motor Group under which BPT will purchase 450 new energy hybrid buses that meet “Euro Ⅴ Standards” this year. The first 50 units was delivered by the end of June, and put into operation in the No. 121 and No. 114 bus lines.
