China Needs More Green Buses & Coaches

English.chinabuses.com: News from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM for short) predicts that there may be 600 green-fuel buses in China by the end of 2009 and 1,000 by the end of 2010.

Beijing-based Beiqi has already won an order for 450 hybrid buses from that city's public transit body. The company plans to build a new factory and expand its annual hybrid bus output to 1,000 units. Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd, a famous buses & coaches manufacturer in China, plans to produce 200 to 300 alternative-energy and electric buses this year. According to the statistics from Zhongtong showed that it produced and sold more than 20 green buses at last year.

Auto experts predict that China will need more than 10,000 green buses and coaches by the year of 2015.
