CATARC New Energy Vehicle Project Makes Home in Dalian

English.chinabuses.com: after several rounds of research and negotiations, China Automobile Technology and Research Center (CATARC) finally decided to launch its New Energy Vehicle Project in Free Trade Area, Dalian, a coastal city in northeast China.

Jointly supported by Dalian Innovation Parts Manufacturing Company, CATARC Tianjin Qingyuan Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. and Dalian Qianhao Investment Co., Ltd., New Energy Vehicle Project, with a total planned investment of RMB 100 million (about USD 14.63 million) is expected to roll out 20,000 units of electric vehicles each year after the completion of its construction.

In recent years, in view of the rising popularity of NEVs, Dalian city has made an ambitious plan to become one of China’s key supplier of NEVs and NEV parts & accessories. As a part of Dalian’s development plan, the settlement of the project in the city will help it boost and upgrade its automobile industry.
