400 Dongfeng Hybrid City Buses Enter Wuhan

English.chinabuses.com: early this month, Dongfeng Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. received an order for delivery of 400 units of hybrid city buses. After inking this deal, the buyer Wuhan Public Transport Group has officially launched its New Energy Vehicle Popularization Initiative.

According to sources, the batch of eco-friendly buses will be delivered within one year. In addition, the bus operator in the city has already set the target to introduce 1,000 units of new energy powered city buses in the next three years. As a key component of the hybrid vehicle, the Ni-MH battery is provided by Hunan Shenzhou Science & Technology Co., Ltd., a manufacturer specialized in R&D and production of batteries for electric vehicles.
