A cornerstone laying ceremony was held in Chongqing to kick off the construction of the new vehicle testing field

Comprised of express loop track, basic performance testing track, ABS testing track, comprehensive testing track, and vehicle acceleration & noise testing track, etc., the field will act as an important platform for speeding up the development of auto industry in west China.

Currently, China boasts an annual production capacity of over 10 million vehicles. However, the only four vehicle testing fields across the whole nation could hardly be able to meet the needs of the fast growing auto industry. Take Chongqing for example, the city rolls out over one million vehicles each year, but it has to travel to the China’s southernmost province Hainan to test its vehicles, which is usually very time- and capital-consuming.
