FAW Bus Rolls out Jiefang Series Buses

English.chinabuses.com: at the sixth China Changchun International Auto Expo recently held in the provincial capital of Jilin Province, FAW Bus, along with its parent company FAW Group Corp. rolled out “Jiefang” series buses, which range from seven to twelve meters long. Jiefang CA6120URH hybrid, a twelve-meter long low floor city bus at the exhibition, is optimally body-structured and highly repairable.

According to JIANG Jun, General Manager of FAW Bus Division, the company is now integrating its current bus brands, namely Wuxi Taihu and Dalian Yuanzheng into Jiefang series. By the end of 2010, the company will only have one single bus brand Jiefang.
During our interview, Mr. JIANG also revealed that FAW Group Corp. has been attaching significant importance to the self development of China’s indigenous bus & coach brand and has set an ambitious target for the bus builder. Thanks to the parent company’s rich experience in vehicle manufacturing and strong technological backup, new generations of bus engines, and transmissions developed by FAW Technological Center are expected to make their debut on the bus & coach market very soon.
Currently, FAW Bus Co. is in charge of the operation of four production bases, namely FAW Bus (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., FAW Bus Dalian Bus Manufactory, FAW Bus (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. and FAW Bus Co., Ltd. Chassis Plant. Boasting a product line covering the whole range of bus & coach products, the bus builder has been working hard to optimize its product mix since the beginning of 2009.
