Foton Auto (600166) announced its production&sales on July 11, auto sales in June were 51,270 units, auto sales in the first half of the year were 286,695 units, up 14.5 percent year-on-year. Medium-, heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks ,light-duty buses ,large- ,medium-duty buses( including chassis)and other (SUV, MP,Midi) sales in June were 8,501, 39,392, 1,920, 314 and 1,143 units respectively, sales from Jan. to June were 31,938, 238,178, 10,311, 1,155 and 5,113 units respectively, up 16.8 percent , 18.7 percent, 29.8 percent, - 9.6 percent and 126.2 percent year-on-year respectively.
Sales In June saw a rise. Medium-, heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks ,light-duty buses ,large- ,medium-duty buses and passenger autos sales up 86.79 percent,49.47 percent,117.69 percent,6.8 percent and 194.59 percent respectively. Of which, light-duty trucks, light-duty buses saw a rise in sales, and medium-,heavy-duty trucks sales rose greatly, thus, the entire sales of the company rose greatly.
Sales will see a rise in the second half of 2009.Though all kinds of auto sales contributed this, sales of medium- ,heavy-duty trucks and light-duty trucks contribute more profit.
The first quarter report showed that business income from Jan. to Mar. was 7.636 billion yuan, down 5.06 percent year-on-year; net profit was 186,000,000 yuan, up 11.14 percent year-on-year, made a profit of 0.2 yuan per share.
