Huanghai Bus got 530 units purchase order from Shijiazhuang Public Transportation Group through inviting public bidding of Shijiazhuang Public Transportation Group, with a total amount of 320,000,000 yuan. Currently, there are around 1000 units’ Huanghai buses in Shijiazhuang, accounts for 70 percent of total market share.
In order to meet the requirements of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Beijing Public Transportation Group launched 3 billion yuan’s purchase order in the spring of 2005, which was the largest inviting public bidding ever in China even in the world. Various buses production enterprises gathered in Beijing for the purchase order. It surprised all that Dandong Huanghai won the order of 956 CKD and 100 chassis, and became the big winner eventually.
In the following three years, Dandong Huanghai provided over a thousand buses for Beijing market each year, and there were more than 3,000 units Huanghai buses serving in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, meantime, more than 2,000 units Huanghai buses served in other host cities of Olympic, such as Shenyang, Tianjin, Qingdao, and Shanghai.
Dandong Huanghai also won the inviting public bidding of Shijiazhuang Public Transportation Group, and got the order of 300 units’ pure natural gas buses, which were 12 meters long. So far, there are more than 1,000 units’ pure natural gas buses running in Shijiazhuang, which make it the largest pure natural gas buses city in China.
