English.chinabuses.com: on Jul. 1, 2009, Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau released the city’s first batch of vehicle models with qualified emission level that are given green light to rural areas. Dongfeng, Chang’an, Changhe, Wuling and Hafei were on the list. 72 bus & coach models are also listed among other vehicles that can enjoy government’s favorable policies while being delivered to rural areas.

In 2008, Beijing started implementing National 4 Emission Standard. To comply with the new strict standard, Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau has been very strict in selecting the qualified candidates for entering rural areas. After several round of deliberation, 72 bus & coach models from ten enterprises finally came out as successful winners.
