Bridgestone Lowers Target

Due to a continuing decrease in unit sales caused by the global recession and an increase in unabsorbed fixed expenses, as well as the impact of foreign currency exchange losses, Bridgestone group predicts its half year operating income and ordinary income will decrease. That will be lower than its original expectation, at the same time, Bridgestone revised its financial projections for fiscal 2009.

Bridgestone group was established on March 1, 1931 and the founder is Shojiro Ishibashi. The employees of Bridgestone exceed 137,981.
