According to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, engines production in May were 1,017,080 units, down 5.30 percent as against last month; engines sales were 1,040,205 units, down 9.31 percent as against last month; autos production were 1,106,898 units, down 4.32 as against last month; autos sales were 1,119,716 units, down 2.89 percent as against last month.

Autos production&sales in May both exceeded 1.1 million units because of National stimulus policies. Though sales in May exceeded 1.1 million units, its sales still declined compared with the sales in April; with the unstable development in CKD market, domestic engines market is bound to be influenced.

Engines production&sales in May declined as against last month; engines production&sales in May both reached 1 million units; May is the transition period for engines production&sales, for production&sales will drop greatly from May compared with March and April, in 2009, however, engines production&sales from Jan. to May up 5.31 percent and 4.69 percent year-on-year, this was the second time that production&sales rose in 2009, and engines industry is bound to be prosperous.
