Bus Sales Expected to Rise Soon

English.chinabuses.com: after staying in the doldrums for more than half a year due to the weak demand from both home and abroad, China’s bus & coach sales is expected to reverse the downward movement in latter half of 2009, according to some industrial insiders.

In May, it is reported the sales volume of large-, medium-sized and light-duty buses & coaches fell by 14.7%, 12.5% and 20.2% y/y respectively. The continued drop in bus & coach sales is chiefly attributed to shrinking passenger traffic, lackluster growth of the city bus market and sharp decline of export volume.
Recently, a host of experts involved in bus & coach industry has expressed their belief that the bus market may bottom out soon and positive growth in sales may be on its way in latter half of this year.
