Yang Weiguang, deputy director of Beijing Science&Technology committee, said that “There will be 5000 units’ new energy buses running in Beijing in 2012 “ in “Beijing Science&Technology Independent Innovation “ press conference held by Beijing Municipal Government yesterday.
New energy autos refer to all energy autos other than autos with gasoline and diesel engines, including fuel cell autos, hybrid autos, hydrogen autos and solar power autos and so on, with lower off-gas emission.Currently, the new energy autos sold in the market are all hybrid autos in China.
It is learned that in the Automobile Industry Restructuring and Revitalization Plan issued in January ,2009,clearly stated taking developing new energy autos as one of the most important strategies for future development of autos industry .Also in the same month, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance jointly launched "1000 units autos in 10 cities " electric autos demonstration project, also clearly stated making every effort to make new energy autos account for 10% of total market share in 2012.
"Old energy is nearly exhausted, though the costs of new energy autos are 30% higher than the common buses, it is future autos development direction.” Zhao Jingguang, deputy party secretary of Futon said to the reporter.
Yang Weiguang said, Beijing Public Transport Corporation has signed an auto purchase agreement with Beiqi Foton, 450 units new energy hybrid Euro V buses and 350 buses chassis of this model will be delivered in 2009 ,the first 50 units will be delivered in June, there will be 1000 units new energy autos running in 2009.
Foton did not mention the price of this bus, only claimed that it will be higher than 1 million yuan, with a profit twice as in common buses.
It is learned that pure electric autos will reach 100 units, hybrid autos will reach 870 units in Beijing public transportation sanitation demonstration autos in 2009, pure electric sanitation autos will reach 30 units.
