In the year of 2009, most of automakers slash their production capacity and the net profit dives because of global financial turmoil. However, Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd (Zhongtong for short as below) ‘s sale looks good in this year.
In the past of several years, the most important development power of Zhongtong is its overseas market. Zhongtong’s statistics shows that the overseas net profit accounts for nearly 34% of its gross income. In the year of 2008, Zhongtong’s export surged, up 50 percent year-on-year. Currently, Zhongtong’s overseas market is impacted by the global financial crisis. Zhongtong is finding the new way to boost its sale ----- development of new energy buses.
At last year, Zhongtong won the bid from Tianjin, a municipality of northern China, with total 20 hybrid buses. Moreover, Zhongtong won the bid again in March of this year from the city of Jinan, Shandong province, with total of 180 new-energy buses. According to its production plan, Zhongtong will produce nearly 300 new-energy buses in this year and the net profit will reach 300 million Yuan.
ZhongTong Bus Holding Co., Ltd., as an excellent example of Chinese bus enterprise, is a joint-stock company with the production specialized in large buses about 40 years. In addition, it is one of earliest companies enlisted in China.
