Zhongtong’s Advanced Hybrid Technology

Mr. Chu Jitao, an engineer of Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd (Zhongtong for short as below), drove a new hybrid bus off production line without large noise and tail gas on May 8, 2009. According to Zhongtong said there were total 11 patents using in this bus. Good news from Zhongtong showed that it inked a deal with Organizing Committee of the 11th National Game in the end of March, 2009. The organizing committee bought 180 new hybrid buses from Zhongtong and the total value reached 230 million Yuan.
New hybrid bus is a new thing for many Chinese buses & coaches manufacturers. It also means hybrid bus has a very large potential market in China and the world. However, it still has many technologic problems to tackle till now. Zhongtong devotes the research of new energy buses for many years and realizes only 1.1 watt electricity consumption per 100 kilometer. It can run 250 kilometer per charge in total. Zhongtong’s hybrid technology reaches advanced level in the world.
ZhongTong Bus Holding Co., Ltd., as an excellent example of Chinese bus enterprise, is a joint-stock company with the production specialized in large buses about 40 years. In addition, it is one of earliest companies enlisted in China.
