Jiangsu Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd. was established in 1996 as the first batch of 300 national key enterprises and as well as one of the key enterprises in Jiangsu Province.
In September of 1996, Jiangsu Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd. and Germany Mercedes-Benz signed a joint venture agreement. They jointly funded 60.1 million US dollars to establish "Yaxing-Benz Ltd." and each side has 50% of the shares. Yaxing-Benz Ltd. was officially opened in March of 1997.
In September of 1998, Jiangsu Yaxing Motor Coach Group Limited established Yangzhou Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd. after Jiangsu Provincial People's Government approval, accounting for 67.67% of stock.
In August of 1999, Yangzhou Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd. was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, successfully entered the capital market in China, and became one of the few listed companies in the bus manufacturing sector in China.
In August of 2006, the two sides of Yaxing-Benz Ltd. signed an agreement that the Daimler-Chrysler transferred its 50% share of Yaxing-Benz Ltd. to Jiangsu Yaxing Motor Coach Group Limited.

For optimizing the structure of assets, upgrading the quality of products, adjusting the structure of products, enlarging the share of market, upgrading the technology and equipment, swelling profitability and core-competence power, and avoiding the same business competition of the two filiales, Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd started the mergence of the coach business pushed by the parent company (Yaxing Group) in 2007. It means that Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd. merged the core assets and staff members of former Yaxing-Benz Ltd., in order to get much bigger and stronger after being merged the coach business of Yaxing Commercial Vehicle Ltd.
The recombination is nearly finished right now. The technology and sale of new Yaxing is promoted greatly compare to the before. The product range is wider too. During the joint venture with Benz, Yaxing sent many excellent members to Germany to learn technique and management. Although the joint venture was finished now, but all the advanced technology and modern idea continue to work. Furthermore, Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Lt.d cooperated with the top design company of LPD from England. One high-class coach was already designed and produced in England together with Yaxing. Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd. owns the absolute intellectual property of the coach. So the ability of R&D of new Yaxing is promoted greatly.
From Jan. to Jun. of 2008, the new Yaxing increased 13 percent of sales volume, and 50 percent of sales income compare to the last same period. The main datum fully shows the stronger effect of the recombination.
Today, Yaxing as the only one bus manufacturer who had 50 years' marvelous history in China, fills power up again, and plugs into fly wings again. New Yaxing will become much stronger and get much better in the near future.
