News from Dongfeng Motor says that its net profit fell 34 percent last year due to weak demand for its commercial vehicles amid the economic downturn. Dongfeng said China's commercial vehicle market has been greatly affected by the global financial crisis. Declining exports and surging raw material prices hurt the firm's whole-year performance. It expects domestic sales for commercial vehicles will fluctuate as the instable economic development. According to Dongfeng reports that the light commercial vehicle market is also affected by the downturn of world’s economy.
