Shanghai Juss to Buy 1,000 SAIC New Energy Coaches for 2010 World Expo

Apr. 13, 2009: in an interview with our reporter, XIAO Guopu, Vice President of SAIC disclosed that the company will sell 1,000 new energy coaches to Shanghai Juss Co.

According to the current market, a hybrid coach is priced at about somewhere between RMB 900,000 to RMB 1.2 million (about USD 131,791.88 to USD 175,723). Thus, the total transaction value of the business deal is amounted to about RMB 1.9 billion - 2.8 billion (about USD 278.241 million – USD 410.040 million). The new energy coaches are expected to be in service for Shanghai World Expo next year. 

Back in 2008, the Ministry of Science and Technology rolled out a plan to put 1,000 new energy buses in 13 cities across China in three years. Each unit of the new bus is entitled to enjoy subsidies ranging from RMB 200,000 (about USD 29,286) to RMB 600,000 (about USD 87,860).
