Proposal on approval of light-duty coaches for urban logistics
YE Mingxin, Deputy General Manager from JMC Sales Branch: along with the speedy development of China’s logistic industry in urban areas, there is an increasing demand for vehicles used for urban logistics. In fact, light-duty coaches have been dominating this sector from the early stage. However, the current regulations usually inflict severe punishments on light-duty coaches for carrying both passengers and cargo at the same time. Moreover, the logistic vehicles often have to go through a number of procedures to enter the urban areas. Given such a background, the government should remove the restrictions on logistic vehicles’ access to urban areas, which is believed to generate higher demand for light-duty coaches.
