In the 7th Beijing International Bus and Accessories Exhibition just closed a few days ago, Changzhou Huanghai rolled out its 11-meter urban bus. On Mar. 3, 2009, Dandong Huanghai revealed that Changzhou Public Transport Group has already placed an order of 50 CHH6110G02 buses with Changzhou Huanghai.

As a fruit of Changzhou Huanghai’s independent research & development (R&D), the new model CHH6110G02 has reached the advanced level among domestic 11-meter low-floor urban bus type. With smooth curb appeal and spacious interior, the new model successfully integrates the European elegant style with southern China’s esthetic flavor. Boasting a passenger capacity of 80, it also meets Euro III Emissions Standard.

Jointly funded by Liaoning Shuguang Group and Dandong Huanghai, Changzhou Huanghai production base was officially launched in May 2008. To date, it has completed the construction of its 80,000-plus square meter main workshop. Currently, the three production lines for welding, coating and assembly is being installed. It is estimated that its first phase project will be put into production in May this year as planned. Thus, Changzhou Huanghai will boast an annual production capacity of 6,000 large- and medium-sized coaches.

According to LI Haiyang, president of Dandong Huanghai, the coastal area in southeast China is currently the country’s major sales market for buses. The operation of Changzhou Huanghai will provide Shuguang Group with mature sales channels and greatly optimize the group’s production system. At present, Changzhou Huanghai is intensifying its efforts in research and development (R&D) of natural gas and hybrid buses, aiming at becoming a first-class bus production base of new energy-powered buses.
