Fast exhibited ten new transmissions covering ATE one, light-weighted one, DS-series and retarders and S transmission in accordance with European and American standards. Mr. Li said these products were developed mainly for commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses and special vehicles, etc. and these would make a good contribution to domestic CVs.
In recent years, Fast has been speeding up technological progress in response to the requirements of the company and the government. Fast products, taking 70%-80% of domestic market shares, must live up to the international standard to compete with foreign ones, which will still take some time and great efforts due to the substantial gap.
Facing the grave threat of excessive production capacity, Fast has many competitive advantages after a dozen years, including the national-level auto transmission engineering institute, strong R&D teams and seven production bases plus one headquarters.
