Bosch plans to invest ¥1.6 billion ($253 million) in two-phase constructions with ¥800 million each.
Located in Qingdao National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the manufacturing site will cover an area of 110,000 square meters. Its main product diesel fuel injectors can accurately control the quantity of fuel injection and thus help save energy and reduce emissions for vehicles, said the company.
Established in 2004, Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. is a joint venture with Wuxi Weifu High-Technology Group Co., Ltd. with a 67 percent shareholding by Bosch. The joint venture is committed to the development, calibration and production of electronically controlled diesel fuel injection systems, used in heavy- and light-duty commercial vehicles as well as in passenger cars.
