As forerunner of diesel power technology, Bosch has been leading the development of diesel technology for over 80 years. From 1997 Bosch provided 50 million sets of common rail system for passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles. At present, compared with equivalent gasoline vehicles, modern diesel vehicles with Bosch diesel technology reduce 30% of oil consumption and 25% of CO2 emission but increase 50% of torque output. At the same time, Bosch is trying to reduce another 30% of oil consumption and emission by 2015.
