Yuchai Engines with National 5 Emission Standard Launch in Beijing

www.chinabuses.org: On 26 October, the first 50 new Ankai city buses equipped with Yuchai engines with national 5 emission standard were formally applied by Tongzhou Branch of Beijing Bafagnda Public Transport Company. It marks that Yuchai engines with national 5 emission standard independently developed by Yuchai formally launch the market while most engine producers are still preparing the introducing of products with national 5 emission standardin the market.
Since 2006, Yuchai has been the only China engine provider for new city buses in Beijing and kept good cooperation with the public transport company. In 2007, the company purchased more than 3000 Yuchai engines and continued to choose Yuchai products at the end of 2009 when inviting the tender of new buses for the first time, which shows the high approval of China innovative green power but also the decreasing technical gap between China and developed European and American countries.
