www.chinabuses.org: Recently a engine project, 400,000 engines, by Foton and Cummins joint venture formally started. In this way, Foton Auto is nearer to their goal to establish the biggest engine production base worldwide with annual production up to 1,000,000 units.

From the day on, world advanced Cummins 3.8L light diesel engines will be produced in Foton Auto and assembled to some light products, and 2.8L products will be produced later.

It’s introduced that the newly invested 2.8/3.8L ISF high pressure E-CDIS light diesel engines have high performance and low emission, and it can meet requirements of national Ⅲ, Ⅳ or even higher standards.

In the production ceremony, Foton and Cummins sighed “Technology Licensing Contract of AUV Products”, and Foton Auto has signed memorandum with Cummins on products with Euro-V emission standards or above.

This is the third cooperation between Cummins with domestic enterprises, and this is also their first cooperation on light engines.
