FAST: Sales Revenue More Than 7,500,000,000 Yuan in 2009

www.chinabuses.org: Both sales and production volumes of FAST Group surpassed 7,500,000,000 yuan (1,098,000,000 USD) in 2009, and more than 550,000 auto transmissions were produced and sold out; many business indicators increased more than 20% year on year, taking the first in gearing industry in eight consecutive years and topping the world on production and sales volumes of heavy transmissions for four consecutive years.
2009 saw the biggest market changes, and FAST stood the financial crisis and fierce competitions and they seized the opportunities to produce more than 60,000 gearboxes each month in late 2009 from 6,000 units each month in early 2009. Faced with new change of markets, FAST made efforts on innovations to expand production lines and improve additional values, adjust market strategies and thinning market needs. Foton provided a series of new and advanced products with new technology, new materials and new craftsmanship. Their self-developed twelve-speed, sixteen-speed gearbox won praises on fuel-saving and environmentally friendly, and the monthly sales volumes amounts to 10,000 units. The special eight-speed transmissions and series of gearboxes with big center to center space and light weight design concept saw rapid increasing in sales volumes. And their R&D of newer gearboxes as well as automatic transmission acquire major breakthrough further solidifying their leading role in gearbox industry.
