www.chinabuses.org:CNHTC is going to enter bus market and a new plant has already been established, said general manager of CNHTC on December 20, 2009.

  
In fact, CNHTC has made many efforts to enter bus industry. They restructured Jinan bus plant by establish Jinan Bus Co., Ltd. in 1990s. And in late 2008, bus business division was set up, and someone even said that they will restructure Zhongtong Bus.

 
They are concentrating on truck business these years, and now they are going to do bus business. FAW, Dongfeng and CNHTC have advantages on chassis technology and scientific research teams, but actually many underling bus builders are mainly selling chassis and their ability of whole vehicle is not so competitive. Someone holds that it’s due to that bus business is taken lightly, and maybe national large auto groups are not as good as private enterprises on flexibility on marketing and meeting individualized needs of passenger transport companies.

 
"Our advantage lies on technology and costs, but the gap between us and mainstream bus builders is great,” explained general manager of CNHTC, “We will make every efforts in this field by forging a bus marketing team and learning from industrial peers.”

 
A bus industrial insider holds that as more and more heavy trucks are sold, CNHTC is thinking about new business growth pole to become a comparatively comprehensive commercial vehicle manufacturer.
