Caterpillar Announces to Set-up Joint Remanufacturing Co. With Yuchai

www.chinabuses.org : Caterpillar (China) Investment Co., Ltd, the subsidiary of the American Caterpillar signed the agreement with Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the main part of China Yuchai Group to establish a joint venture on 14 December 2009. It will offer the remanufacturing service of the Yuchai engines, some Caterpillar diesel engines and related parts. The new company will provide the most complete remanufacturing engines and parts through the department of Caterpillar remanufacturing and sustainable solution with the relevant technology.
Steve Fisher, the vice president of Caterpillar in charge of remanufacturing business said, " We are expecting to share the professional technology of the Caterpillar remanufacturing with Yuchai and supply the sustainable solution with low cost to the customers to develop this new market." and " The platform established by the new company will offer more chances of employment and technology with the better environment."
Yuchai is the main professional manufacturer of diesel engines and the biggest production basis of internal combustion engine in China. The products cover the diesel power applied in the various vehicles such as trucks, buses, general machines, ships and passenger vehicles.
Yan Jie, the deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. showed that "We hope we could realize the new development objective in the respect of remanufacturing through the cooperation with Caterpillar and have the confidence to provide more added value service to meet the urgent development requirement of the society and the environment."
