JAC Bus Chassis Striving for National Ⅳ Standard

2009-10-29    Source:www.chinabuses.org

www.chinabuses.org: Recently 102 public transport buses equipped with JAC HFC6782 and HFC6880 National Ⅳ chassis started to run in Beijing, being the first to achieve National Ⅳstandard. In accordance with national pollutant emission standard, China will gradually implement national Ⅳ emission standard from January 1, 2010. JAC holds technological advantages in bus chassis since their two national Ⅳ chassis adopted in city buses in Beijing.

According to Limits and measurement methods for exhaust pollutants from compression ignition and gas fuelled positive ignition engines of vehicles (Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ)( GB17691-2005), national Ⅳ emission standard will be gradually carried out from 2010. JAC has cooperated with Cummins and Yuchai etc well-known diesel engine makers to develop bus chassis with national Ⅳ standard to meet market requirement of bus chassis in the future. “ In the beginning of 2009, we heard requirements of public transport buses with national Ⅳ standard. We started match test with Cummins and Yuchai after technical specifications were understood in detail, and the announcements of the two chassis were declared and issued in the first half of 2009. Currently 102 buses were all put into operation with good response,” introduced Yang Xingkun, person in charge of JAC chassis market research.

JAC has long leading development direction of domestic bus chassis from the earliest domestic medium-bus chassis to the only domestic bus side beam chassis, from high floor large storage room passenger bus chassis to low-floor bus chassis, from independent R&D 4DA1 series diesel engine chassis to BEST independent suspension bus chassis and hybrid bus chassis. JAC bus chassis used to be the top seller in 14 consecutive years and was praised as “real special bus chassis” and “China bus chassis museum”.
