Li Dakai, chairman of FAST Co., Ltd. was interviewed in Beijing in the afternoon. He was quoted as saying, it’s generations’ efforts to achieve such a significant result and we became more confident from this. Complete auto makers and spare parts manufacturers with independent brands made great contributions to the result, and it’s only little meaning without these companies. Chinese auto industry started nearly fifty years later than western countries, and car makers with independent brands were developing very fast after reforming and opening up. However, foreign brands took the majority, so we still have a long way to go.”

He also said, the breakthrough provided an opportunity for major auto parts companies to get stronger, and we would have larger stage as increase of auto capacity. The 2,000,000th FAST twin countershaft transmissions rolled off the production line on October 10. And this is the fruits of our long persistence of scientific development and independent innovation and also an important milestone in our transition. In the future we will not only enlarge domestic share but also exploit overseas markets. Apart from efforts on scientific development and independent innovation, we will also improve quality and performance and release AMT and light products to meet home and foreign needs.
