English.chinabuses.com: In September 2009, Department of Science and Technology formally approved to found the fourth batch of International Technology Cooperation Base, and 90 organizations received the title, of which Weichai Power Co., Ltd. appears on the list.

Weichai Power has been always committing them to international cooperation, and they started to apply the base from early 2009, and were recommended to Department of Science and Technology as Number One in Shandong Province.

Perfect R&D system also contributes a lot in the approval.

Weichai Power introduced market mechanism to establish incentive system in the company. And they also have rich experience in international cooperation. WP10/WP12 Rambo Series diesel engine, joint developed by Weichai Power and AVL in Europe, is the first domestic diesel engine  which can meet national Ⅲ emission standard with completely independent intellectual property right.
