The total mechanical and electrical products import and export from Jan. to Apr. were 1.035 billion US dollars in Hunan,down 19.17% year-on-year,accounted for 35.7% of total foreign trade import and export . The mechanical and electrical products export reached 486,000,000 US dollars, down 31.77% year-on-year,accounted for 30.4% of total foreign trade export. The mechanical and electrical products import reached 549,000,000 US dollars, down 3.37% year-on-year,accounted for 42.4% of total foreign trade import in Hunan.
Characteristics of import and export
1.The mechanical and electrical products import and export declined continously,import saw negative growth,all these had something to do with financial crisis .The mechanical and electrical products export down 31.77% from Jan. to Apr. year-on-year,up 4.45 percent compared with the export decline in the first quarter of the year,10.57 percent higer than national mechannical and electrical products export decline;import down 3.37 percent year-on-year,though lower than national mechanical and electrical products import decline,it was the first time to see negative growth in our province this year.
2. The key industries import and export declined greatly. The machinery and the equipment export ranked first among the six industries, export reached 170,000,000 US dollars, accounted for 34.98% of total mechanical and electrical products export, down 28.89% year-on-year; electric appliance and the electronic products export ranked second ,export reached 108,000,000 US dollars,down 34.59% year-on-year. Engineering machinery export 104,000,000 US dollars, down 56.88% year-on-year ; Auto and auto chassis export 54,040,000 US dollars,down 46.65% year-on-year,auto parts export 13,480,000 US dollars, down 42.77% year-on-year ;Above three mentioned products down 14.6 percent,7.42 percents and 0.12 percent respectively in the first quarter. Other industries manual and machine tools export 13,220,000 US dollars, down 35.54%; The transformers export 11,450,000 US dollars, up 687.58%; The generators export 10,360,000 US dollars, down 55.14%; The ships export 9,690,000 US dollars, up 2.94%; The cigarette lighters export 9,650,000 US dollars, down 18.54%.
In the imported goods, machinery and the equipment ranked first, import 276,000,000 US dollars, up 16.17%; The electric appliance and the electronic products export ranked second, import 120,000,000 US dollars, up 39.45%; The transport means import 99,000,000 US dollars,down 51.45%, declined the most; The instruments and meters import 44,000,000 US dollars, up 55.85%, increased the most.
3.The main export enterprises export declined greatly.Ten enterprises export exceeded 10 million yuan($1.47 million)from Jan. to Apr.,the same as in last year. Sany Heavy Industry and Zoomline ranked first and second in mechanical and electrical products export enterprises, export ,however,saw a greatly growing decline .Sany Heavy Industry export 62,950,000 US dollars from Jan. to Apr., down 41.27%; Zoomline export 31,470,000 US dollars, down 62.08%;their export down 14.95 percent and 11.67 percent respectively compared with export in last month.
