2009 China Western Counties Economic Development Forum, with the theme of "Scientific development, entrepreneurship and innovation" was held in Anshui, Guizhou on May 23, 2009, Yanping, who was Chairman of the Board and party secretary, was awarded "Western outstanding entrepreneurs".
Yuchai completed the target of “Build another Yuchai within 3 years” in 2008, achieved sales revenue of 20 billion yuan(＄2.93 billion), reaching 20.988 billion yuan(＄3.08 billion), production and sales were 550,000 units, top 1 in diesel engine industry; Excavators export 952 units, of which, under15 tons excavators export top 1, taking a leading role in machinery industry. Meantime, the construction of Yuchai Industrial Park, leading the economic development of local industry, Yuchai also provided talents, technology and other multi-directional support, to achieve win-win development.
Despite the global financial crisis, Yuchai still achieved good results.Yuchai Group sales revenue achieved 10.9 billion from Jan to May, up 3.36% year-on-year; engines sales exceeded 316,000 units, up 3.1% year-on-year.
