One customer bought a loader several years ago, the loader, however, with the problem of high fuel consumption, power shortage. Later, he sold the old engine of the loader to weichai Reproducing Company for nearly10, 000 yuan(about ＄1,644), and he bought a new reproduced one with 70% sale price of new engine.
Weichai Power (Weichai) Reproducing Co, .Ltd was founded on April 21, 2008, and it became one of 14 national experimental enterprises .The company made use of Weichai 615 Diesel Engine Plant for trial production base, and it was the first one to start production. The company came to mass production in January 4, this year, production rises month by month: 40 units in January, 60 units in February, 81 units in March, more than 100 units in April.
Weichai reproduced engines have three major characteristics: dynamic the same as new engines, economy the same as new engines, warranty period the same as new engines. As the subsidiary company of Weichai, the reproduced company also has its own three major advantages: cooperate with American SRC company; top import equipment, high starting point, high standard; 2700 service stations across the country.
It is learned that there are 1,400,000 units Weichai engines in the market at present, and 300,000 units will be put into the market each year. Weichai Reproduced Company plans a "151 Project" in such a broad market, that is producing 1000 units in 2009, 5000 units in 2010, and 10000 units in 2011. Weichai Reproduced Company spares no efforts in making preparations for next year’s 5000 units’ sales.
