Parts Suppliers in China Are not Affected by GM Bankruptcy

GM filed for bankruptcy protection in 1 June, hundreds of Japanese auto parts manufacturers were panic, for they might not get the payment form GM any more. Reporters interviewed Jinan No.2 Machine Tool Group and Weifang Diesel Engine Plant, which were two suppliers of GM, both of them said the bankruptcy protection of GM did not have any impact on them for the moment.
Jinan No.2 Machine Tool Group has cooperated with GM for many years, and it is called "The world's top five numerical control punching machine manufactures " by the American customers, and they provide production line equipment for GM for many years, a man, who was from Jinan No.2 Machine Tool Group, said that the bankruptcy protection of GM did not have any impact on them for the moment.
Weifang Diesel Engine Plant, which is another supplier of Shanghai GM, said, currently the company just provides auto parts&components for shanghai GM, the bankruptcy of GM will not have any impact on them in a short period, as for the long-term impact ,it needs a series of professional analysis.
