Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. recently signed an engine products supply and marketing agreement worth 10 million U.S. dollars with a Russian distributor. It is the first batch of Chinese engines to export to Russia, according to report.

Yuchai is China’s largest manufacturing base of diesel engine. Its main products including engines for passenger cars, trucks, buses, agricultural vehicles and construction machines were exported to more than 40 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Americas and Africa. Yuchai enjoys a good reputation internationally due to its leading technology and quality. Because of the outstanding performance in alpine region of Russia, YC6M heavy-duty diesel engine has gained popularity in Russia. Each year, more than 1, 000 heavy-duty trucks assembled with YC6M engines were exported to Russia. This Russian distributor believed that the cost-effect ratio of Yuchai product would benefit the Russian users who are affected by financial crisis. Therefore, the distributor signed the contract of large amount product supply with Yuchai. The engines being signed for the order are full range single engines, ranging from YC4108D toYC6M320D with a total of 13 models. In the future, it will be expanded to construction machines, cars, etc. The amount of engines be exported will reach 40, 000 eventually in line with the cooperation agreement.

According to expertise opinion, in the past, all engines used in China were imported from Russia and other Eastern European countries. Nowadays, a large amount of engines produced in China started to enter EU market. The order shows that Guangxi Yuchai keeps building a national brand, marching to internationalization and firmly holding the market opportunity. It also gave an example to some enterprises who are struggling with the financial tsunami impacts.
