English.chinabuses.com: on Jun. 30, 2009, China’s first low-floor luxury double-decker equipped with integral body frame went off the assembly line in Jinan Youngman Automotive Co., Ltd. The event marked Youngman’s bus & coach plant in Shandong has officially kicked off the serial production of city buses.

Measuring 13.7 meters long and 4.2 meters high, the double-decker boasts 80 seats in total. The wide side glass offers passengers with unblocked view outside the bus. In addition, its widened entryway makes it easier for passengers to enter and exit it.

According to some executive from the bus builder, the new luxury bus, priced at RMB 5.8 million (about USD 848,893), has already been bought by a bus operator from Dubai, UAE and will soon be shipped to its customer. 

As planned by Youngman Group, Jinan Youngman Automotive Co., Ltd., one of the group’s subsidiaries, is now capable of producing a wide spectrum of buses measuring 7 to 25 meters long and ranging from luxury city buses, luxury coaches, all-electric buses, fuel-electric hybrid buses to CNG buses.
