www.chinabuses.org: 2010 China (Hangzhou) New Energy City Bus Match hosted by China City Public Transport Committee was held on afternoon of July 16, 2010 in Hangzhou. There were seven new energy buses joining the competition. And the seven city buses will run from Shiqiao to Jiuxi, along K4 bus line to a Park. City bus staffs from Tianjin, Wuhan, Kunming, Ningbo, Haikou etc cities were learning on the buses.

"The seven new energy city buses are all hybrid buses, and the buses can be driven by electricity within twenty miles and then by engine exceeding that distance. Currently new energy city buses are about one third more expensive than traditional buses,” said Shen Bo, vice general manager of Science Department in Hangzhou Public Transport Group.
