www.chinabuses.org: On 13 July, it is known that Xi'an Silver Bus Corporation will hit the city bus market with complete nationalization of Silver brand after re-organization.

It is understood that Xi'an Silver Bus Corporation is established through the successful co-operation between Volvo Bus Corporation and Xi'an Aircraft Industry (Group) Company   Limited (XAC) in April 1994 as the first joint venture company for manufacturing high grade intercity  coaches and luxury tourist coaches in China.

In recent years, Aviation Industry Corporation of China integrated XAC and the latter resumed the operation of large-sized buses. In 2009, Silver 900 series buses formally launched with completely independent intellectual property rights, new 12-meter luxury coach, which closed or reached the level of the same grade of Volvo buses in the respects of the main parameters. However, the price is only a half of that of the imported buses with the same quality. This model is suitable for various fields such as passenger transport and tourism.

In early July, Xi'an Silver Bus Corporation has confirmed the list of the new members of the board of director. The company will further promote the brand construction of Volvo and Silver, occupy the domestic high-end bus market with Volvo brand, open high-speed road passenger transport market with Silver brand of total localization and increasingly cover city bus market as well as new energy vehicle market.
