www.chinabuses.org: Recently first vehicles with “Road Transport Vehicle Fuel Consumption Standards” were published by Ministry of Transport, and the Standards rule parameters, configuration and fuel consumption etc 44 items and thirty-seven vehicle models passed the standards.

To reduce vehicle fuel consumption and promote development mode changes of transport industry, Ministry of Transport implemented Test and Supervision of Road Transport Vehicle Fuel Consumption from January 1, 2009. Fuel consumption was taken as a key indicator when allocating Road Transport Certificate. And since March 1, 2011, vehicle models without reaching Road Transport Vehicle Fuel Consumption Standards will not be allocated road transport certificate.

And the first auto makers meeting the standards includes: Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co., Ltd., Quick Bus Industry Group Co., Ltd., Beijing North Huade Neoplan Coach Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shenlong Bus Co., Ltd., Zhongji Vehicle (Shandong) Co., Ltd., China First Tractor Company Limited, Dongfeng Nanchong Automobile Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Xinxin Industry Co., Ltd, Shangrao Coach Factory, YOUNG MAN Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Anhui Xingma Automotive Co., Ltd., Shandong Tangjun Ouling Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Changsha Meihua Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
