www.chinabuses.org: In the afternoon of 4 March, the signing ceremony of the purchasing contract of LNG buses for Dalian economic technology development zone, export processing zones and the Golden Pebble Beach National Resort was held in the Industrial Development District Management Committee. 181 new energy buses will be applied in succession in this year. These green LNG buses show special advantages in both environmental emission and economic operation.

The first 181 new energy buses to be applied in Dalian

Li Kang, the principal of the product development of Dalian Passenger Coach Factory said that this LNG model spent 38 cubic meters natural gas for per kilometer. " The model is equipped with a natural gas tank of 335 cubic meters, affording to the driving of 540km, the operation for two days with the daily traveling of 300km. While the conventional diesel bus consumes more than 190L fuel, inferior to the LNG bus in economy."

In addition, the conventional diesel buses discharge a lot of harmful emissions such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydronitrogen while a LNG bus reduces over 50% gaseous pollutants. These LNG buses are the first buses in operation in Northeast and even the advanced products in China.
