YAO Yazhou, Director of the company’s Sales Dept., revealed to our reporter that the company now is still at the initial stage in the new business area, but it has already drawn rich experience from its parent company in the truck financing business. To date, Dongfeng has set up its extensive bus sales network across the nation. Prospective buyers can purchase buses and coaches through the company’s bus sales branches in different areas. As to those customers who are short of enough money to make full payment, they have to go though credit status assessment conducted by Dongfeng’s bus sales branch and obtain approval from Dongfeng Automobile Finance Co., Ltd., which will provide bus loans to them. A certain amount of down payment is required and timely payment for the remaining plus interests are mandatory.
Unlike banking loans, Dongfeng bus financing program is much more efficient and hassle-free. Along with the nationwide campaign for developing public transport facilities, it is believed that the bus financing business will enjoy a huge market potential in China.
Currently in China’s bus & coach building industry, only Yutong Bus has set up a special Bus Financing Company to help those cash-strapped customers buy buses apart from Dongfeng. Given the huge number of potential customers, the bus financing business is expected to enjoy a boom in the near future.
