Strengthening Collaboration for Sustainable Mobility

Mr Jing Gang, Deputy General Manager of Sunwin Bus, highlighted Singapore's commitment to cleaner and more sustainable public transport, and the opportunities this presents for electric bus manufacturers and mobility solution providers.
As a subsidiary of SAIC Motor specialising in the research, development and manufacturing of electric buses, Sunwin aims to leverage its engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities to support Singapore's evolving transport requirements.

Through its partnership with Eurokars, Sunwin will focus on adapting its products to local regulatory and operational requirements, expanding market opportunities and developing comprehensive aftersales support throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to delivering efficient, reliable and sustainable mobility solutions for Singapore, with potential opportunities for expansion across Southeast Asia.

Full Electric Bus Solutions Designed for Diverse Applications

Both models have been developed with consideration for demanding operating environments, including Singapore's tropical climate, high passenger utilisation and varied transport requirements.

The iEV12 12-metre electric city bus features a fully low-floor, barrier-free design to enhance accessibility and passenger convenience. It incorporates Cell-to-Pack (CTP) battery technology, high-efficiency electric drive motors and Sunwin's proprietary silicon carbide auxiliary control technology.
An integrated thermal management system and enhanced corrosion protection further support energy efficiency, passenger comfort and operational reliability, particularly in hot and humid conditions.

The iEV7C 7.9-metre electric shuttle bus is designed for flexible deployment across multiple transport applications, including urban feeder services, corporate and employee shuttles, and private passenger transport.
Powered by next-generation CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, the iEV7C is engineered to deliver dependable driving range and operational efficiency.

Its adaptable platform supports seating configurations ranging from 10 to 32 seats, left- and right-hand-drive applications, intelligent vehicle interfaces and over-the-air (OTA) software updates, offering operators greater flexibility to meet their specific fleet requirements.

Building a Strong Local Partnership

As Sunwin's authorised distributor in Singapore, Eurokars CV will provide local market expertise, established customer relationships and aftersales capabilities to support Sunwin's market development.
The partnership brings together Sunwin's electric bus engineering and manufacturing expertise with Eurokars' understanding of Singapore's automotive and commercial vehicle sectors.

Both companies will collaborate on business development, customer engagement, product localisation and long-term operational support, with the objective of offering practical and dependable electric mobility solutions to local transport operators.

The joint showcase at Singapore Urban Mobility Week marks an important milestone in establishing Sunwin's presence in Singapore and introducing its electric bus portfolio to potential fleet operators and industry partners.

Supporting the Future of Electric Mobility

Looking ahead, Sunwin will continue to draw on SAIC Motor's technological resources and manufacturing capabilities while working closely with Eurokars to develop solutions suited to Singapore's market requirements.
Through continued product innovation, local partnerships and comprehensive lifecycle support, both companies aim to contribute to the adoption of cleaner commercial transport and the long-term development of sustainable mobility in Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian region.
